GREEN GRADS were invited by the organisers to show at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (GNCCF) in the beautiful listed Edwardian Victoria Baths over three days in the middle of October 2022.
They filled the charming blue “changing cubicles” of Pool C, each tiled and some with stained glass, with a mix of goods to sell and concepts to amaze. Stunning drops of fabric provided a backdrop for “Pool A.” These showcased the winners of the GREEN GRADS Textile Challenge, which invited graduates to tell ECO STORIES to express their feelings for the environment, from love of nature to the climate crisis, in pattern on cloth (sponsored by Epson @epsonUK). “GNCCF was one of the best experiences I have had in terms of exposure of my project.” Amber Thompson, who showed her ethereal Floc lampshade. “Fantastic to be once again part of the GREEN GRADS community.” Christoph Kurzmann, showing Upscaling Upcycling, with stools, storage and chair made from the discarded furniture of 250 student bedrooms.
